A Mount Pleasant native, Kevin Keating attended Mount Pleasant Public Schools and is a 1990 graduate of Mount Pleasant High School, where he earned varsity letters in Wrestling and Football. Kevin graduated from Michigan State University in 1994 with a Bachelors of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies in Social Science and Law. After spending over 15 years in the business world; developing commercial property, opening and managing a 300 seat restaurant and night club, working with world class, Fortune 500 companies Robert Half International Inc. and Automatic Data Processing, Inc., Kevin returned to Mount Pleasant to apply that experience and knowledge to a career in real estate. Kevin represents buyers and sellers of residential, recreational and commercial properties in the Central Michigan area. In 2005 Kevin earned the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABRÌâå¨) designation Ì¢?oThe Benchmark of Excellence in Buyer EducationÌ¢?? from the Real Estate BUYERÌ¢?TS AGENT Council, Inc., of the National Association of REALTORSÌâå¨. In 2015 Kevin earned his Associate BrokerÌ¢?Ts license, having completed an additional 90 hours of real estate education and passing the State of MichiganÌ¢?Ts Real Estate BrokerÌ¢?Ts exam. In addition to selling residential properties ranging in price from $11,000 to $700,000, Kevin has negotiates commercial leases, assists in sales of vacant and recreational properties and has assisted in the sale and or purchase of foreclosed properties, bank owned properties, HUD Homes, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac homes and short sales.KevinÌ¢?Ts professional involvement includes serving as President of the Central Michigan Association of REALTORSÌâå¨ in 2009 and 2013 and as a Director on the Board of Directors of the Central Michigan Association of REALTORSÌâå¨, Delegate to the Michigan Association of REALTORSÌâå¨, and as a Senior Officer on the Board of Directors of the Home Builders Association of Central Michigan.When not selling real estate Kevin spends time with his son Brendan, and also enjoys hunting, fishing, woodworking, raising chickens and remodeling the 105 year old field stone schoolhouse he bought in the summer of 2006.
